Charlottesville, Va. – McIntire Botanical Garden announces a third community input session on the design process of the region’s future botanical garden. Designers from both Mikyoung Kim Design and Waterstreet Studios will be presenting on the latest design concepts of the garden. There will be an opportunity for questions. The event will be held on August 21 st at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center from 5:30 to 8:00 PM with the design team presentation beginning at 6:00 PM. MBG Board President, Linda Seaman, states that, “McIntire Botanical Garden will be a place of healing, inspiration and education for the whole community. The garden will be free and open to everyone. It is important that the garden is designed with the wishes of the community included.”
The input session is a valuable opportunity for community members to meet and discuss what they would like to see and experience in the future garden. For those who cannot attend the community input session, MBG encourages using their online survey to contribute any opinions on the upcoming project.
